Track Review with Emma Moore
Emma Moore, the British country artist, has just released ‘Husbands Or Kids’, the first single release from Moore’s long-anticipated EP.
The single was produced and mastered in Nashville and combines a classic country music sound with rock n roll and Moore’s signature witty and honest lyrics.
Husbands or Kids is about the importance of knowing what you want from life and having the patience to wait for it to come around and to never settle for anything less.
The bass driven verse is punchy and conveys a sense of exasperation with the dating scene and the driving blues and electric riffs throughout are uplifting and sassy.

Since releasing her debut album ‘Pilot‘ back in 2016, Moore has refined her song-writing craft and it really shows on this track. It is an exciting taster of what we can expect from her upcoming EP.
Speaking about the single, Moore says: “Sometimes as writers, we can be drawn much more to the melancholy and reflective songs or ideas, where we think and feel deeply and poetically.
I have to admit that’s where I feel the most comfortable when writing, but sometimes, even in moments of despair, you just have to laugh – and that’s where this track sits.
The search for love is about as universal as you can get, and stumbling along that journey is almost as common, but when I wrote this song a few years back I felt like I was trapped in a bad rom-com”.
Overall, this is a superb full band country-rock track which is fun and feisty and showcases Emma’s excellent song-writing craft and powerful vocals.
